Biography:
Oliver Queen, also known as Green Arrow, is a central character in The CW's "Arrowverse" franchise. This version of the character first appeared in the TV show *Arrow* (October 10, 2012).
Portrayed by Stephen Amell, Oliver is initially depicted as a spoiled billionaire playboy who, after being presumed dead for five years following a shipwreck, returns to Starling City (later Star City) a changed man.
Haunted by his experiences on the isolated island of Lian Yu, Oliver adopts the vigilante persona of the Green Arrow, using his archery skills and martial arts training to fight crime and corruption in his city. As the series progresses, he evolves from a ruthless killer into a hero who seeks justice and redemption, eventually inspiring a team of other heroes.
